Westermo Merlin 4758 - VDSL/ADSL 5G Router

"The Westermo Merlin 4758 is an industrial mobile router designed for secure and reliable data communication via 5G, 4G LTE and VDSL/ADSL. The router has been specifically developed for critical infrastructure, such as electrical substations, energy supply networks, smart grids and industrial automation.

The Merlin 4758 features 4x Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbit/s), 1x VDSL2/ADSL2+ connection (RJ11), 2 SIM card slots and 2 serial ports that can be configured as RS-232 or RS-485. In addition, the router has 6 digital inputs and 2 relay outputs.

As well as standard IP routing functions, the Merlin 4758 also supports industrial protocol conversion, including IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 61850, Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3 and MQTT.

The integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Secure Boot, firewall and VPN functionality ensure a high level of network security.

The robust metal housing, galvanically isolated power input and the extended operating temperature range of -20 to +65 °C make the router suitable for long-term use in demanding industrial environments.

Furthermore, with Westermo Activator, these routers can be configured centrally and deployed on a large scale via zero-touch deployment, as well as updated remotely."
