Geleidende elektroden van het type EF2...5 zijn door het DIBt (Duits Instituut voor Bouwtechniek) goedgekeurd als grensniveauschakelaars voor overvulbeveiliging van tanks voor de opslag van vloeistoffen die schadelijk zijn voor het watermilieu.
De armaturen van de EF2...5-serie zijn, afhankelijk van de vereisten, vervaardigd uit PE, PPH, PVC of PTFE. De elektrodestaven zijn gemaakt van roestvast staal 1.4571, Hastelloy C, titanium of tantaal. Hierdoor zijn de geleidende EF2...5-elektroden geschikt voor gebruik met zeer agressieve media.
