Absolute Encoders

Absolute rotary encoders belong to the group of length and angle measuring devices and provide exact measurement values for the detection of distances, speeds or acceleration without an initial reference point. In contrast to incremental encoders, the positions are measured via a digital numerical field without the prior determination of a reference value. The precise positioning of the absolute rotary encoder is reliably evaluated by the downstream electronics. Apart from the current position value, additional data such as temperature information can also be transmitted.
